I agree./ SAN PEDRO, LOS ANGELES AN LAKE RAILROAD COMPANY Mr. W« H. Bancroft, 7Mr. J, Boss Clark, Special Committee, Dear Si rs:~ Replying to Mr. Clark*a letter of April 29th to Mr. Wells relative to inspection and repair of Las Vegas pipe line, I enclose copies of reports from Messrs Cullen and Jessup showing that the pipe line is regularly inspected, and Mr. Jessup's report indicates that the pipe line has, with two exceptions, been furnishing a regular and adequate supply of water. The expense of replacing the present pipe line with a concrete pipe will be so large that I feel we should defer the expenditure for a while if the present pipe line will furnish an adequate quantity of water, even if there are some leaks in it. I expect to be in Las Vegas this week with Messrs Cullen and Jessup and will then look the situation over thoroughly on the ground, with them, and make you a further report. C. J. BALCWi ASSISTANT TO GENERAL MANAGER, LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA m “1 Springs and pipe line-Las Vega On line, May 14, 1912 Yours truly,
