Los Angeles - November 11, 1953 17*-2 Messrs. A. D. Hanson - Salt Lake V. V. Smith - Los Angeles y < W M . R. NOV 12 1953 (cc - Mr. Wm. Reinhardt - Los Angeles Mr. C. M. C o ry - Las Vegas ) You w ill reea ll our discussion relative to the possible construction of the new water tank in the shop grounds. As you know, we have an understanding that we nay transfer 2.5 e . f . s . of water from one of the e x isting w ells. I attach a copy of Mr. Cory's le tte r of November 7th to me on th is subject, and I deem i t quite advisable that th is tank be constructed before the permit for transfer be issued. This situation is a very d elicate one, and we may be subject to criticism at any tin e for securing the authority to make the new diversion of waterj and, technically , we should be in a position to state we have fa c ilitie s to take care of th is water before we request a permit be issued to us. X would, therefore, appreciate i f the construction of th is tank be expedited as rapidly as possible, and would be glad to have any information you may lave as to when we may expect the tank to be completed. E. E. Bennett ESBtps Mr. Wm. Reinhardt: If there is anything you can 'do to get this work progressed, I think it should be done. I understand that a contract has been let, although I do not know when, but when I was last in Las Vegas apparently the only thing that had been done was to dig a few holes, presumably for footings. b .
