    June 1, 1954 «; w* 'JUN 2 1 1954 Him* Hugh A 0 Shamberger State Engineer Carson City* Nevada Res Serial He* 15140, Permit No* 7200, Certificate No. 1631 Dear Hughs With referenoe to the above entitled application te change the point of diversion of 3*5 o.f.s. of water, your letter of June 18, 1853, followed by our amended application and supporting map of August 5, 1953, and publication of the required notice in the Las Vegas Review Journal October S to November 3, 1953, please be advised that the bonds author­ised by the bend election of the Las Vegas Valley Water District have been sold and the money therefor has boon re­ceived by the District* It is our understanding that the contract of purchase between the Las Vegas Valley Water District, the Las Vegas Land and Water Company, and the Railroads will b© eonsiaaaatod this month so that all of the properties covered by the said contract will b# transferred to the District on or before July 1, 1954* It is our desire to have our ponding applica­tion granted and an appropriate order issued prior to that date so that the point of diversion of the water covered by the foregoing permit and certificate will be changed as re­quested In the pending application. It is my further under­standing that no protests were received by your office and that all required stops have boon taken so that you are now in a position of granting the application* I, therefore, respectfully request that you issue an appropriate order, and I again wish to express ray appreciation to you for your cooperation in this matter* Best personal regards* sincerely, Bennett
