Bracken Gentlemen: Information has come to me through Senator Berkeley L. Bunker that you informed the representative of the Defense Plants Corporation that you would not be able to furnish water for more than 800 additional homes in Las Yegas. This information is in direct opposition to that furnished to me on the strength of which I answered a wire from Sam H* Husbands to the effect that the public utilities ; vis., gas, water, electric energy and sewer facilities would be available for 2000 additional homes, if our application for sewers was granted. This answer was authorized by the Board of City Commissioners. return mail because I feel that it is my duty as Mayor to clear this matter up. It is of vital importance to the entire body of our citizens. Question 1. Is there water available in the underground artesian pool from which you derive water for 2000 additional homes in Las Yegas? Are you willing and able to cooperate in making this additional water available so that these homes can be built? of City Commissioners so that they can join me in this request if they so desire. And I am submitting a copy to the Las Yegas Review Journal for publication so that the citizens of this City may be informed of what is being done in this matter. This letter will.also be published in the Las Yegas Age. I am requesting an aswer to the following questions from you by Question 2. Question 3 If not, are you willing to sell out your interest in the water system to the City so that a municipal water system can be developed?
