I agree.\ removed from the Hawkins Addition, and discussed the situation with Mr. Bracken. While he admitted renewal of pipe is necessary at thin time, he stated in his opinion it is largely due to the action of soil on the asphalt ooating and wires* He further advised that the pipe sold to the Hawkins interests in 1933 carried a guarantee on workmanship only, and that for a period of Just on© year* Taking everything into consideration, we are quite certain we cannot obtain any adjustment from the Pacific Tank and Pipe Company* W„ 0* 341 authorises renewal of only that portion of the wood stare pipe in Hawkins Addition which has failed and is expensive to maintain. Apparently, the soil in that immediate vicinity is worse than in other portion of the Addition. We hope the remaining wood pipe will last several years longer. Mr. Jeffers * letter November 37th is returned herewith. R. &• Adamson 7d BCC- Mr. 1. R. Bracken
