493 TAXICAB RATES Mr. MacDonald of the Teamsters Union appeared before the Board at this time and presented petitions from the Yellow Cab, Tanner Motor Tours, and the Union Cab Company requesting that rates for meter cabs be set at 50¢ for the first mile and 10¢ for each additional One-third mile; further that rates for zone cabs revert to t he old zone rates prevailing prior to August 1, 1949. After discussion was held the Board signified they would be in favor of the above mentioned request if the majority of the cab companies would agree. Mr. MacDonald stated that he would report back at the next regular meeting of the Board. GAMING & LIQUOR Commissioner Whipple moved that the application of Catherine Horden, Lloyd M. APPLICATIONS Speer and Lloyd D. Speer for a Retail Tavern Liquor license and 1 Race Book, 1 The Westerner Craps, 1 Roulette and 1 "21" game be rejected on the grounds there were no licensed available. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, Commissioner Bunker, There being no further business to cone before the meeting at this time Commissioner Moore moved that this meeting adjourn until November 7, 1949 at 3:00 P.M.
