At this time Commissioners Sharp and Whipple members of the committee for recommendation on the proposed Licensing Amendment Ordinance reported favorably. Thereafter an ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 17, CHAPTER 17, CODE OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, 1949, ALSO KNOWN AS SECTION 3, ORDINANCE NO. 349, BY PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY FOR LATE PAYMENT OF LICENSE FEES; PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS PROPERTY RELATED THERETO; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, vas read in full to the Board. At this time the proposed ordinance on Hotel-Motel Rate Amendment entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE AND CONTROL THE POSTING AND MAINTAINING OF OUTSIDE ADVERTISING SIGNS OF MOTELS, MOTOR COURTS, AND LIKE ESTABLISHMENTS; AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF, was read by title to the Board and referred to Commissioners Whipple and Bunker for study and recommendation.
