1 If the District shall not have awarded a contract or 2 contracts for the performance of all of said work within said 3 180 day period, the First Parties may thereafter award a contract 4 or contracts to the contractor or contractors they deem to he the 5 lowest responsible bidder or bidders, said contract or contracts 6 to provide for the performance of any of said work for which the 7 District shall not have awarded a contract or contracts* If the 8 District shall fail to complete the performance of all or any por- 9 tion of said work within two (2) years after the sale date or 10 within two (2) years after the First Parties have approved the 11 plans and specifications, whichever date may be later, the First 12 Parties may thereafter award a contract or contracts for the com- 13 pletlon of any work then remaining unperformed. If the First Par- 14 ties shall award a contract or contracts pursuant to this Section 15 5 after the District shall have contracted for or acquired mater- 16 ials for the work to be performed pursuant to this Section 5 which 17 materials have been, or are to be, paid for from the Relocation 18 Fund, the First Parties shall be entitled and required to use said 19 materials in the performance of any contract or contracts awarded 20 by them. Any contract or contracts awarded by the First Parties 21 shall provide for the performance of the work In accordance with 22 the plans and specifications submitted by the District and thereto- 23 fore approved by the First Parties, or in the event the District 24 falls to submit plans and specifications or the plans and specifi- 25 cations submitted shall have been theretofore disapproved by the 26 First Parties, in accordance with the general specifications con- 27 28 2 8 .
