Allen, Chairman Nevada Public Service Commission Carson City, Nevada Dear Mr. Allen: In preparation for the eventual sale,of the water system at Las Vegas, Nevada, to the Las Vegas Valley Water District when and if the voters approve the issuance of bonds for the acquisition the Los Angeles & Salt Lake Railroad Company and Union Pacific Railroad Company transferred to Las Vegas Land and Water Company on July 3 1 , 1953,50? acres of land upon which 11 water wells and other improvements are located and the other water production, storage and transmission facilities owned by the Railroad Company which the District has the right to acquire under the terms of agreement dated June 1, 1953. Starting August 1 , 1953, the Las Vegas Land and Water Company will operate and main-tain the entire water production and distribution system at Las Vegas. Very truly yours, E. E. Bennett ECRtMSB
