Dear Sir:- I have your letter of March 31st. 1911, asking for an estimate for a concrete street sidewalk three feet in width to be built in front of the four blocks at las Vegas upon which are situated the 64 employes' cottages. It is estimated such walks will cost nineteen cents a square foot. The walks will have to be connected to those already built from the front of the cottages to their front gates by walks seven feet long. Including the 64 connecting strips referred to the total area of walks which will have to be laid will be 11424 square feet, which at 19^ a square feot amounts to #2,170.56. the contemplated employes' rooming house is being constructed, as we have no sand and gravel on hand now that could be applied to such work,but when we were getting it for the rooming house we could procure enough for the walks also.
