Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. Commissioner Bunker moved that Gordon L. Gordon’s request for zone variance of Lots 19- 20, Blk 5, Meadows Addition for R-3 to C-2 be granted. Motion .seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. Commissioner Peccole moved the recommendation of the Planning Commission to accept the ten­tative map of Oakridge subdivision be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. An ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING REGISTRATION WITH THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS PO­LICE DEPARTMENT AND THE FINGERPRINTING, THUMBPRINTING, AND PHOTOGRAPHING OF ALL EMPLOYEES OF GAMBLING HOUSES, TAXI DRIVERS, AND EMPLOYEES OF ESTABLISHMENTS WHERE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE SOLD AT RETAIL ON THE PREMISES AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS ORDIN­ANCE, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 305, ALSO REFERRED TO AS CHAPTER 27 OF THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH," having been reported on favorably by Commissioners Jarrett and Peccole, committee for report, was read in full to the Board. Commissioner Peccole moved the adoption of the foregoing ordinance No. 462. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole, and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; Noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. An ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING CITY EMPLOYEES TO SUBSCRIBE TO AN OATH OF LOYALTY DISAVOWING SYMPATHY WITH SUBVERSIVE ACTIVITIES AND PROVIDING FOR THE REGISTRATION OF SAID EMPLOYEES; AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF,” having been reported on favorably by Commissioner Peccole and Whipple, committee for report, was read in full to the Board. Commissioner Jarrett moved the adoption of the foregoing Ordinance No. 464 Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. An Ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A REGIONAL PUNNING COMMISSION AND AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA, TO COLLABORATE WITH THE GOVERNING BODIES OF INCORPORATED CITIES IN CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA, AND THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA, FOR THE CREATION OF A REGIONAL PUNNING COMMISSION, AND TO REPEAL ORDINANCE NO. 45l AND ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH," having been reported on favorably by Commissioner Jarrett and Peccole, Committee for report, was read in full to the Board. Commissioner Peccole moved the adoption of the foregoing Ordinance No. 463. A letter of recommendation from the Planning Commission regarding request of the South- ern Nevada Power Company for an extention of their use permit for sub-station at 14th and Clark was read to the Board. Commissioner Peccole moved a public hearing be set for August 15th at 7:30 P.M. and the Clerk instructed to notify the property owners within 300 foot radius. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. At this time a letter from the Regional Planning Commission petitioning to vacate portion of North 10th Street between Ogden and Stewart Streets was read to the Board. Commissioner Peccole moved that a public hearing on this proposed vacation be set for August 22, 1951 at 7:30 P.M. and notices provided by law be posted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker.
