H Sec, 2 amends section 6 of said Act (4437*05 N.C.L* Supp.) to prohibit vehicles, such as taxicabs, from giving free transportation beyond city limits, as an evasion of the Act* Sec. 3 amends section 7 of said Act (4437*06 N.C.L. Supp.) by adding a provision that "any person who has been denied a certificate of public convenience and necessity after hearing, shall not be permitted to again file a similar application with the commission covering the same type of service and over the same route or routes or in the same territory for which the certificate of convenience and necessity was denied except after the expiration of ISO days after the date said certificate of convenience and necessity was denied.” Sec. 4 amends section of said Act by providing that "the commission shall.have the power in its discretion to reduce the fees required by this act for residents of this state in the transportation of commodities of a perishable nature, or where expeditious transportation services are required." Sec. 5 amends section 9| of said Act (4437.0Sa N.C.L, Supp.) by adding a proviso that: "any person who has been denied a permit after hearing, shall not be permitted to again file a similar application with the commission covering the same type of service and over the same route or routes or in the same territory for which the permit was denied except after the expiration of 90 days after the date said permit was denied." Sec. 6 amends section IS of said Act (4437.17 N.C.L. Supp.) by deleting the proviso limiting nonresident trip permits to three in any calendar year.
