100 NOTICE OF SPECIAL Upon motion by Commissioner Clark duly seconded by Commissioner ASSESSMENT Moore and carried by unanimous vote the following Notice of Hear­ing of Special Assessment was ordered published in the Las Vegas Review Journal for a period of fourteen consecutive days exclusive of Sundays, and hearing set for the 25th day of July, 1947 at the hour of 3:00 P.M. SURRENDER OF LEASE Commissioner Moore moved that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized Ralph Stoughton to sign that certain document entitled "Surrender of Lease" dated July 2, 1947; concerning right of way at or near the Nevada Biltmore Hotel, the lessee being Ralph Stoughton. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the follow­ing vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye. Noes, none. JOINT PLANNING Commissioner Baskin moved that the City clerk be directed to send COMMISSION a copy of the letter dated June 27, 1947 from the Board of county Commissioners addressed to T. E. Fennessy, City Manager, relative to the budget of the Joint Planning Commission to the Joint Plan­ning Commission for their information. Motion seconded by Commissioner Clark and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting a ye. Noes, none. STORM SEWER---- Commissioner Whipple moved that the purchasing procedure be waived North 5th Street in connection with any purchases for pipe on the North 5th Street storm sewer installation, and that the city manager be directed to proceed on said installation on forced account in the approx­imate sum of $14,044.69. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the follow­ing vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye. Noes, none.
