OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK, LAS VEGAS, CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA. DECEMBER 3rd, 1930. At a recessed regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, held on the 3rd day of December 1930 at the hour of three o'clock P.M. Present Mayor Hesse Commissioners Smith and Hansell together with the City Attorney and Clerk. Absent Commissioners Thomas, and German. At this time the Board again considered the new license ordinance. A number of citizens appeared before the Board in regard to the various rates. After a lengthy discussion and no decision being reached the meeting recessed until the hour of seven thirty P.M. 7:30 P.M. Present O.J. Smith Mayor Pro tem, and Commissioners Hansell, and German, together with the City Attorney and Clerk. Absent Mayor Hesse, and Commissioner Thomas. At this time the Board went at once into the business of the license ordinance, and after hearing from various citizens present the following ordinance was read for the first time as amended, and layed over for a final reading: An ordinance providing for the licensing and regulating the the carrying on of certain businesses, professions, trades, callings, and occupations; fixing a penalty for the violation thereof: repealing ordinances of the City of Las Vegas, as follows: Ordinance No. 48, approved December 13, 1913, Ordinance No. 62, adopted December 1, 1915, Ordinance No. 74, adopted March 5, 1919, Ordinance No. 75, adopted May 7, 1919, Ordinance No. 81, adopted, June 15, 1921, Ordinance No. 95, adopted September 6, 1922, Ordinance No. 102 approved November 26, 1923, and all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith. No further business appearing before the Board at this time the meeting adjourned. OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK, LAS VEGAS, Clark County, Nevada. December 4th, 1930. At a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, held on the 4th day of December 1930 at the hour of three o'clock P.M. Present Mayor Hesse, Commissioners Thomas, German, and Smith together with the City Attorney and Clerk. Absent Commissioner Hansell. All bills allowed as per claims and warrant register on file in the office of the Clerk. Monies received for the month of November as follows: $150.00 Sale of cemetery lots. 97.00 Plumbing Permits 495.00 Municipal Court Fines. 832.50 Fees and City Licenses. 1,574.50 Total. Money proportioned as follows: $150.00 Cemetery Fund. 97.00 Water, Sewer and Light Fund. 1327.50 Police & Fire Fund. 1574.50 Total. Monies transferred as follows: $500.00 from the General Fund to the Water Sewer and Light Fund. 300.00 from the General Fund to the Police & Fire Fund. No further business appearing before the Hoard at this time the meeting recessed until Wednesday the 10th day of December 1930 at the hour of three o'clock P.M.
