in an R-1 (Single Family Residence) Use District on the northeast corner of North 1st Street and Verdy Lane and is located on lot 25, Block 5 of the Biltmore Addition, be and the same hereby is denied. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioners Sharp and Whipple passed their votes. RIGHT-OF-WAY DEEDS - At this time two deeds for street right-of-way in Artesian Acres were presented for Artesian Acres consideration, the same being presented for acceptance by Ray L. and Blanche Brewer and B. M. and Lillie McDonald for the following described property: East 50 feet of the West 180 feet of lots 5 and 6, Block 1, Artesian Acres Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved the aforementioned deeds be accepted providing these property owners agree to enter into an assessment district for improvements which may come at some future time, and the following resolution adopted: BE IT RESOLVED, this 3rd day of June, 1953, by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark State of Nevada, that the deed, dated the 1st day of June, 1953, executed by Ray L. Brewer, Blanche Brewer, B. M . McDonald, and Lillie McDonald to the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the real property described therein be, and is hereby accepted, for the purpose and intentions as therein set forth; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be attached to said deed, and that the same be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and filed in the records of this Board. ASSESSMENT DISTRICT Commissioner Whipple moved the following resolution authorizing the notice of sale N O . 200-12 _ of the bonds for Assessment District No. 200-12 be given, setting said date of Resolution Sale of July 15, 1953 at 7 :30 P.M.: Bonds WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas have taken steps to create certain public improvements; and WHEREAS, the time is now arrived to authorize and direct the City Clerk advertise for bids for bonds all in accordance with the proceedings heretofore taken to construct said improvements by special assessment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas at a regular meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of June, 1953, that the City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners be and she is hereby directed to publish notice that the Board of Commissioners will receive bids for bonds for Assessment District No. 200-12 in the aggregate principal amount of $5,350.69. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners be and she hereby is directed to publish notice of the receipt of bids for said bonds by publication on June 6, 13, 20, 27 and July 4, 1953, in the Las Vegas Review Journal, a daily newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners be directed to publish in said notice that the bids for said bonds will be received until 7 :30 P.M. on Wednesday the 15th day of July, 1953, at which time said bids will be opened. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said Notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF SALE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 200-12, SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT BONDS SERIES OF JULY 1, 1953, $5,350.69 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, will on the 15th day of July, 1953, at 7 :30 o'clock P.M., at the City Hall in Las Vegas, Nevada, offer for sale, receive sealed bids and publicly open the same for, the following described special assessment negotiable coupon bonds of said City: City of las Vegas Assessment District No. 200-12 Sanitary Sewer Improvement Bonds, Series of July 1, 1953, in the aggregate principal amount of $5,350.69, dated July 1, 1953, consisting of 10 bonds numbered consecutively from 1 to 10, both inclusive, being in the denomination of $ 5 0 0 . 0 0 each, except bond numbered one is in the denomination of $850.69, maturing serially in regular numerical order on the first day of July, $850.69 in the year 1953, and $500.00 in each of the years 1955 to 1963, both inclusive, all bonds being subject to prior redemption on any interest payment date in inverse numerical order at the option of the City whenever funds are available therefor, after fifteen days published notice, upon the payment of the principal amount thereof with accrued interest to the redemption date, and bearing interest payable annually at a rate of not exceeding seven per centum (7%) per annum both principal and interest being payable at the office of the.
