could only serve one or two customers. In such cases extensions of mains of the minimum 6-inch size would involve considerable additional expense without any offsetting advantage. Following a brief discussion, a motion was duly made by Director Thorn, seconded by Director Cornwall, and unanimously approved by the five Directors present, that the Manager be authorized to make main extensions across the strip of sizes smaller than 6-inch when the arrangement of property is such that only one or two customers could be served from the extension. CONWAY. MOE. HIBBS & FUNSTON LETTER OF APRIL 17. 1956 The following letter from Conway, Moe, Hibbs & Funston dated April 17, 1956, and the Manager’s letter to that firm dated April 18 relative to preparation and publication of the District’s financial statement were read and discussed. "Mr. Thomas A. Campbell President Las Vegas Valley Water District P. 0. Box 1109 Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Sir; In reading the minutes of April 4, 1956, we noted reference to the possibility of publishing your financial statement for the fiscal year ended June 30, 1956. It is further noted that the manager advised that the auditors probably would not complete their report until several months after the end of the fiscal year. We would like to take this opportunity to suggest that if the timing or completion of the audit work is an integral factor insofar as it relates to the publication of such report, we will be pleased to discuss the matter at your convenience and attempt to arrive at a time certain for completion of such work. Yours very truly, CONWAY, MOE, HIBBS & FUNSTON /s/ NELSON CONWAY" "Mr. Nelson Conway Conway, Moe, Hibbs & Funston 440 East Hoover Street Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Mr. Conway: This will acknowledge receipt of your letter of April 17, 1956 addressed to Mr. Thomas A. Campbell which is being distributed to the Directors.
