Form 5527 C.S. mm . . fo be ienclosed in Mailgram Envelope To Save Telegraphing—Use this blank for al I messages sent late in the day where immediate answer is not required and for messages to stations that may be quickly reached by train. ' Las Vegas, 8/25/26 MAILGRAM Mr.C.C.Bar-ry, Auditor, Los Angeles: K-653. A-- Accrued depreciation was not considered, fork ordsr was made up in accordance with instructions in your letter/p-30L, Nov. 15,1923. gp HI ~.. B-- Wains laid in 1905 and 1907 apparently have been replaced; mains laid in 1910 are still in use, at least in part. If proposed renewal should be approved all old mains will have been replaced except three-inch wrot iron line serving Blocks 37, 38, 39, 40. (Refer to correspondence beginning September 27, 1921, in/your f^ile L-106.). C-- Reported to !/r. Calvin as complete on July 23, 1924. Life of mains*seems to be about 15 years, tho it is possible to prolomg this slightly with frequent shut-downs for repairs. Cost of labor to recover the old material then exceeds salvage value,Jgso it has been the practice to abandon it. W-14. | „ - W.R.Bracken. V
