I agree.SHOSHANIM GROUP - HAD ASS AH BOARD MEETING - OCTOBER 28, 1996 The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 by President Sherry DeArmas. The board members wrote introductions of themselves and drew another's to read aloud. This was a way to get to know our board members and why they are members of Hadassah. Ima Fund was discussed. Jackie Fleekop contributed three donations to the fund this evening. Hedda Abbott is recuperating from an operation and contributed in honor of her son's engagement. Marcia Marx reports that we have close to $500 in the Ima Fund. There will be a New Member's Tea at the home of Jackie Fleekop on Sunday, November 17th, at 3:00. The next general meeting will be on Monday, December 9th, at the home of Marcey Simon. Members are to bring a gift for a child or a book unwrapped and we will have crafts for Chanukah with songs and dancing. UMC needs diapers for "crack babies", small preemies, and other special need patients. We will no longer be donating samples to Shade Tree. It has become a general shelter. We now will be helping Safe Nest. A battered women's and children safe house. This will continue our community support. Ellen Weinstein said they have a perpetual wish list and it will be included in the newsletter. She continued to give us details about the shelter. The board suggested compiling "Welcome Packs" as a starter for victim's starting over. November 25th there will be a board meeting at Michelle Raymer's house to discuss the upcoming fund-raiser for March. The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 P.M. Respectfully Submitted, Harriet Smylie
