m Mr. Frank Strong 3. 7/25/44 2. In case the Boulder Addition piping system is connected to the Las Vegas Land and Water Company distribution system it is recommended that an additional 12 inch line be installed from the vicinity of Main and Clark Streets southward! to Main Street and Charleston Boulevard and connect with the City Distribution System at that point. This will also raise the pressures in the Huntridge Addition. 3. It is also recommended that a 12 inch pipe line be installed in Clark Street from the alley east of Fifth Street easterly to connect with the piping at the alley east of Fourteenth Street; also that another 12 inch line be installed from this line at the alley east of Twelfth Street southward to the 8 inch pipe in Charleston Boulevard. 4. To Improve the pressure conditions south of the Army Air Corps Subdivision it is recommended that a 12 inch line be installed in Stewart Street from the 8 inch line at the alley east of Fifth Street eastward to the alley east of Tenth Street. While this line will be connected to an 8 inch line I think it is necessary in order to equalize the pressure in this part of the City; also later on it may be necessary to increase the size of the 8 inch line west of Fifth Street. In driving through the town it is evident there will be a great many more lawns placed in service within the next two years before existing houses are provided for and not considering any additional houses which may be built.in the future. This will require considerable water during the three months of the summer season which will reduce the pressure unless something is done. The present maximum daily consumption is about 9,500,000 gallons. The reservoir capacity is only 2,500,000 gallons which is a very small margin to work on. It is suggested that consideration be given to materially increasing the reservoir capacity in the not distant future. We recommend that pump changes be made now.
