In this connection, the deed as you sub- Blitted it contained form for acknowledgment by the Secretary only. In another case of a deed from the Las Vegas land and Water Company some time ago, where­in acknowledgment for the Secretary only was prowldod, the Contract Attorney referred the matter to hr. Pettit, asking if it should not also he acknowledged by the Prosilent. Mr. Pettit replied that while he had no file on the particular subject, assuming that the deed mm approved by Mr. hfcffamee as Attorney for hereon, aoknowledisaent by the 'President should obviously be orowided for. In view of this prior advice, we tore arranged to add separate acknowledgement by the President to the Mile deed herewith enclosed.
