Ordinance No. 120 An Ordinance to amend Section 22 of Ordinance No 66 of the City of Las Vegas, entitled "An Ordinance regulating Travel and Traffic upon the Public Streets of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada." THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Sec. 1. That Section 33 of Ordinance No 66 of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 33 Subdiv. (a) It shall be unlawful for the driver of any vehicle in or upon any street in the City of Las Vegas, or for any person standing or walking in any such street, to fail, refuse or neglect to allow the right of way to any officer, fireman or apparatus of the Fire Department when the same is going to, on duty at, or returning from, a fire, or to any ambulance, whether of public or private character, when such vehicle is employed in going for or carrying a sick or injured person to a hospital or other place of relief or treatment, or to any officer or policeman or vehicle of the police or fire department, when responding to calls or alarms, or to vehicles under the control of the City of Las Vegas used in cleaning, sweeping or flushing the public street or sewers, or for the collection of garbage. Subdiv. (b) It shall be unlawful for the operator of any vehicle, other than one official business, to follow any fire apparatus traveling in response to a fire alarm closer than one block or to park any vehicle within the block where fire apparatus has stopped in answer to a fire alarm. Subdiv. (c) No vehicle shall be driven over any unprotected hose of the Fire Department when laid down on any street or private driveway, to be used at any fire or alarm of fire, without the consent of the Fire Chief or the assistant in command". Sec. 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication for one week (one issue) in Las Vegas Age, a weekly newspaper published in said City of Las Vegas. Passed and adopted as an emergency Ordinance, upon resolution entered in the minutes of said Board of Commissioners, upon the consent of the whole Board of Commissioners first had and obtained on this 2nd day of September, 1926, the vote on said Ordinance being as follows: Commissioners Mundy, Hammond, Smith, Elwell and His Honor the Mayor J. Squires, being first duly Sworn, deposes and says; That he is a publisher of the Las Vegas Age, a weekly newspaper, of general circulation, printed and published at Las Vegas in the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the attached Ordinance No. 120 of the City of Las Vegas was continuously published in said newspaper for a period of one week, from September 4, 1926 to inclusive, being the issue of said newspaper for the following dates, to-wit: September 4, 1926.
