NATIONAL CITY, CALIF. PASADENA 1, CALIFORNIA November 14, 1951 AIR MAIL Las Vegas Light & Water Company 4-01 South Second Street las Vegas, Nevada Gentlemen: We received your letter of November 8th, 1951, regzrding $40.50 which is due apparently on a water bill. What misled us on this is that on your Form 4, which you sent us several times, you state specifically: ’’printed figures show amount collected" Down on the bottom it further states: "This receipt not valid tinless amount is printed hereon by machine." We find that on bill #A23&4 and Bill #D125 they have been receipted by a machine, therefore, we assumed they were paid by our local store. Also, on bill #A2364 you show it charged to The Fremont Building Corporation 401 Fremont Street Las Vegas, Nevada K T Gt/M**** 1 3>3 S pih e 5r We know of no such corporation at that address. Apparently this has been a mixup all around. We are enclosing our check in the amount of $40.50, but we are still not quite sure whether this is due or not; hobever, we do not want the water shut*ar our store. May we please have a letter of explanation, and in the future kindly bill us as follows: Cornet 5-10-25# Stores 401 Fremont Street Las Vegas, Nevada. Very truly yours, JCjr/w Encl.Check $40.50
