The development of a list of items of cost to be recognized in water rates for the lessees at BMI when the District takes over, was discussed. It appeared that the Lessees are pressing for a strict interpretation of what will be included in the cost of the water. V a rious schedules of items to be included in the cost were mentioned - also that CRC C om missioner Cahlan was working on the matter, as well as CRC Commissioner Strong. The Directors felt that the Lessees were to be considered apart from the residents of the Town-site as to cost of water. The impending agreement with G S A for the acquisition of the water facility at Henderson must include the formula. The urgency of an immediate decision on the matter was not apparent and no action was taken on the matter, pending fu rther developments. The need for additional money to run the District over the period until bond money is available for expenses was thoroughly discussed. It was the belief of the Directors present that the County Commissioners would be agreeable to further advances in as much as the District has been m aking very distinct progress of late in relations with G S A and C RC. Senator McCarran has sent word that he wishes to meet on Wednesday, M ay 9th, with the many officials who have been concerned with the problems of the Water District. The Manager was appointed to confer with the CRC Secretary Don Ashbaugh as to arrangements for the hall or place of meeting. The Manager was directed to compile the specifications for what an engineering consulting firm would be expected to do for the District if engaged, so that some competitive bidding could be secured from applicants.
