Dear S i r ; - R e fe rrin g to your l e t t e r June 15 and also our subsequent con versation , in connection w ith deed from th is company t o Hawkins Land & Water Company, coverin g s a le o f land at Las Vegas: I am a tta ch in g , h e r e t o ,,d u p lica te o r ig in a l o f deed which has been compared h ere, but I should lik e to have you review , and i f s a tis fa c to r y , in d ic a te your approval on th e back o f page 4 where th e signatures o f other o f f ic e r s have been a ffix e d . In tra n sm ittin g th is document to me, Mr. Charles Adams w rite s as fo llo w s : " I am resubm itting deed in fa vor o f F ir s t S tate Bank o f Las Vegas, o r ig in a lly transm itted with my l e t t e r o f June 29th, fo r your handling to execution. **I fin d on fu rth er examination th e deed as drawn is in accordance with th e p ro visio n s o f th e contract with th e Hawkins Company, Contract Audit No. 5557, at lin e s 23 and 24, page 4 th e r e o f. " I am advised Mr. Hawkins proposes to subdivide th is land in such manner as to p rovide in d u s tr ia l lo ts approx­im ately 140 fe e t in depth, extending along our r ig h t o f way and that Main S tr e e t, which now abuts th e r ig h t o f way w i l l be d iv e rte d to the in d u s tr ia l tr a c t fro n ta ge. This is in lin e with best su bdivision p r a c tic e . The cross - s tr e e ts running east and west w i l l be continued, i f we d e s ire , through the Hawkins property up to th e r ig h t o f way lin e , thus p rovidin g d ir e c t access to our property. He is at li b e r t y , o f course, to subdivide his property as he chooses but w i l l make the concession o f p rovidin g access to our r ig h t o f way south o f Garces S tr e e t, i f we so d e s ire . Mr. Hawkins* plan w i l l minimize s tr e e t improve­ment assessments which would otherw ise a f f i x to our proper­ty i f Main S tre e t were continued in i t s present course. The opening o f the c ro s s -s tre e ts w i l l con fer some b e n e fit on the R a ilroa d Company but w i l l not r e s u lt in any p e n a liz­a tio n by assessments in th e event the new tr a c t is improved at any tim e on a d is t r ic t b a sis.
