    26 65 ANOTHER ANGLE - LONG SHOT - (M.O.S.) as the patrol car overtakes Julia's and she pulls to a stop, jumps out as the PATROLMAN gets out of his car. In pantomime, we can see Julia explaining her emergency. The Patrolman poipts, nods, gets back into his car. Julia returns to hers * The patrol car pulls in front and acts as an escort, SIREN SCREAMING, as the two cars roar off toward the - 66 EXT. SERVICE STATION - (M.O.S.) The three of them pile out of the car, Marie races to the office door with Julia, find it locked. They run around one side of the building and the Patrolman to the other, where he discovers the open door of the rest room, 67 EXT. REST ROOM - THE PATROLMAN sees the lock has been broken. He looks around as Julia and Marie rush frantically around the back of the building. JULIA Not a trace of them! MARIE Maybe that weird-o who runs this place took them to the barber shop with him. PATROLMAN Old Gus? Not likely. (points) This lock's been torn off --probably Gus locked the kids in there without realizing it. JULIA But how could they have broken it? PATROLMAN Maybe they didn't.
