540 GOLF COURSE EXTENSION Partial Payment ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 100-17 Final Acceptance RIDGEVIEW SUBDIVISION Release of Bonds Tract Nos. 1 & 4 PROPOSED ORDINANCE Annexation REZONING APPLICATIONS Public Hearing Set Patrick Delulio Z - 7 0 - 5 3 Fred Rushton Z - 7 1 - 5 3 Marycrest Subdivision Z 9 7 5 - 5 3 Richard Toleno Z - 7 4 - 5 3 USE PERMIT APPLICATION Presbyterian Church Public Hearing Set U -7 0 - 5 3 removal from office; and WHEREAS, the said Judge Richards has requested a leave of absence without pay as Municipal Judge pending the outcome of the removal proceedings; and WHEREAS, such request for a leave of absence meets with the approval of the members of the Board of Commissioners. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, That Walter J. Richards be and he is hereby granted a leave of absence without pay as Municipal Judge of the City of Las Vegas, said leave of absence to commence November 27, 1953, and continue until further order of the Board. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote; Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Whipple moved the bond of S. George Gilson as Acting Municipal Judge be accepted and Mr. Gilson's salary be set at $300.00 per month, commencing November 27, 1953. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commis-sioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none The request of Longley Construction Co. for payment of the Golf Course 9-Hole extension project, estimate No. 4, as recommended by the City Engineer and City Manager, was presented for consideration. Commissioner Whipple moved the request of Longley Construction Co. for partial payment on the Golf Course extension in the total amount of $13,326.87 be approved and the Mayor and Clerk authorized to sign the warrant. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote; Commis­sioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, hippie and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Whipple moved the final acceptance of Assessment District No. 100-17 improvements installed by J.M. Murphy Construction Company be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Com­missioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. The City Engineer at this time recommended the release of Performance bonds filed for the installation of improvements in Ridgeview Subdivision Tract Nos. 1 and 4. Tract No. 1 New York Casualty Company bond in the amount of $13,600.00, was filed by Plumleigh-Gillett; and Tract No. 4 American Surety Bond in the amount of $12,719.50 was filed by Lee Construction Co. Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved the performance bonds on Ridgeview Subdivision Tract Nos. 1 and .4 be released and the streets in this portion of the subdivision accepted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO, AND MAKING A PART OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, CERTAIN SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED TERRITORY ADJOINING AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS; DECLARING SAID TERRITORY AND INHABITANTS TO BE ANNEXED THERETO AND SUBJECT TO ALL LAWS AND ORDINANCES; ORDERING A PLAT SHOWING SAID TERRITORY TO BE RECORDED IN THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY RECORDER OF THE COUNTY OF CLARK, STATE OF NEVADA; AND PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO, was read by title and referred to Commissioners Bunker and Sharp for recommendation. Commissioner Sharp moved the public hearing on the application of Patrick Delulio to rezone Lot 32, Block 1 of Mayfair Tract No. 1 from R-l to R-3 be held January 6, 195.4 at 7:30 P.M. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Sharp moved the public hearing on the application of Fred H. Rushton to rezone Lot 1, Block 8 of Mayfair Tract No. 2 from R-l to R-3 be held January 6, 1954 at 7:30 P.M. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Whipple moved the public haring on the application of the subdividors of the proposed Marycrest Subdivision for the rezoning of the south 150 feet of the NW 1/4 SW 1/4 of Section 2, T21S, R6lE, MDB&M from R-l to R-2 be held January 6, 1954 at 7:30 P.M. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Sharp moved the public hearing on the application of Richard Toleno to rezone Lots 7 to 13 inclusive of Block 1, Paradise Park Subdivision from R-2 to R-.4 be held January 6, 195.4 at 7:30 P,M. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. At this time the application of the Presbyterian Church, by George Albright to construct a church on Lot 7 of Ellis Estates Subdivision, being generally located on the southwest corner of Desert Lane and Charleston Boulevard, was presented for consideration.
