Hugh Shamberger State Engineer Carson City, Nevada Re* 7300, 15140, and 10754 Rear Hugh: * „ Replying to year letter of September 15, 1954, please be advised that the so-called *shop veil* to which 3,5 e,f,s« of water was transferred under Permit He, 15140 in the railroad yards, Is capable of developing this amount ^ with forced pumping for a relatively of time, short rperiod However, the production of this amount of water from th© existing well cannot be sustained and fer that reason the applicant in the above entitled matter determined to drill a new well and to change 1*4 c.f.s. of water of the above mentioned 2,5 c,f,s, to the new point of diversion covered by Application Me, 15754* It was ray understanding from our discussions that this transfer could be made and I understood we might then submit proof of beneficial use as to both 15140 and 15754 at the same time, this is still my understanding since our discussion ever the tele­phone on September 21st, and I, therefore, respectfully submit the foregoing statement to you in order that publi­cation under Application Mo* 15754 may proceed at an early date so that the proposed new point of diversion may be drilled as soon as permitted by law* Best personal regards• Sincerely, Calvin M, Cory
