Peart - Omaha Referring to your letter of June 16, 1953* File HD-4-12, relative to “Rooming House Key Deposit Report” as of May 31# 1953# following is an explanation of divverences developed from comparison of our records with the records in your office. 1 - Mr. L. F. Robbins checked out October 31# 1952 and was not refunded the key deposit in the amount of fl.50. 2 - Mr. R. V. Lewis checked out March 23# 1953 and key deposit of $1.50 was refunded at that time. With reference to key deposits carried under the caption of “Moved” on our report, we have not attempted to refund these amounts since it is necessary for the former guest to furnish this office with the key before any such refund can be made. Since it is necessary for us to have keys made to replace the keys guests have carried off, I recommend that the amounts not refunded be credited to account 21-2 , “Operation Rooming House”.
