m p SvB IlliS | ? tel 1 I It is expressly understood sod abroad that the pips lines referred to in subparagraphs (c), (d), (e), ff| mod {ij of this Section # are located im and around th# railroad yards and other facilities and improvements owned and operated by the Union Pacific upon its lands which are not to be convoyed to the District, and that railroad tracks and other facilities and im­provements of Union Pacific arc presently located upon the said easement strips to be granted to the District* All easements granted by the Union Pacific to the Dis­trict for said pipe lines shall contain appropriate provisions that said easements and the rights of the District thereunder are subject to and subordinate to the right of the Union Pacif­ic to maintain and operate its existing railroad tracks and fa­cilities and to construct,maintain and operate additional rail­road tracks and other railroad facilities of every kind and . character along and across said easement strips* Said grants of easements shall also provide that the District shall have reasonable access to said pipe lirnss for the purpose of main­taining and renewing the same, but that the District at its sole cost and expense shall be required to take such steps as are required by sound engineering practice to prevent damage to or interruption of service over said railroad facilities by reason of work performed by the District in the maintenance or renewal of said pipe lines* Said grants of easements shall also provide that at the request of the Union Pacific the District shall, a t the expense of Union Pacific, relocate said pipe lines to other locations upon the property of Union Pacific, provided that such relocation would not prevent the use of said pipe lines for the, conveyance of water to the areas and facilities then being served by said pipe lines* 10.
