In 1958, director Donn Arden and producer Frank Sennes brought the Lido revue to the Stardust in Las Vegas, and the Bluebells were instant show-stoppers. Although many have attempted to duplicate Madame Bluebell's success formula, no one has achieved her international fame and respect. The high standards she sets for each girl have been strictly adhered to in every group she has had performing around the world. Her current lovelies are beautifying showrooms in Las Vegas, Paris, the Far East, Geneva and Buenos Aires. Before Madame Bluebell will consider any girl, she must meet three essential requirements: she must have extensive ballet training, must be 5'8" or taller and must be a long-legged beauty. "Finding girls who fulfill these prerequisites is extremely difficult," admits Madame Bluebell. "Since none of the famous ballet companies hire tall girls, statuesque dancers do not normally continue their ballet training past their early teens. "Knowing what I am looking for, ballet companies call me when they have a possible Bluebell. I have travelled millions of miles, all over the world, in search of Bluebell Girls." The beautiful Bluebells selected for this new Stardust extravaganza will have ample opportunity to display their talents throughout the many difficult dance productions which have been choreographed into the show. -22-
