Knickerbocker: Tour letter of April 23rd, your file 9^36-3'“*> in connection with reduction of water rates at Yerrno: It is my recollection ‘that the present water rates are not filed with the formal consent of the Railroad Commission— in other words, we have always kept away from any formal action by the Commission with respect to our water services at Yerrno, taking the position that we are not engaged In the public utility business at Yerrno. Under the circumstances it would not be necessary to obtain authority from the Railroad Commission to make the reduction suggested. I suggest, however, for your consideration the fact that we might have difficulty in restoring the rates to the present volume after such reduction is made and be faced with complaints by the users of the water.
