C O P Y CITY OF LAS VEGAS NEVADA June 17, 1953 Mr* L. R. Maag, Acting General Manager Las Vegas Land and Water Company ^01 South 2nd Street Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Maag: You no doubt are aware of the fact that the City has recently vacated ^0 feet along each side of Charleston Boulevard between 10th and 15th Streets. We are advised by the Engineering Department of the City that your water line now exists within a portion of this Vacated area. Your attention is directed to Paragraph 2 of the permit granted to the Las Vegas Land and Water Company which provides that the Authorities shall also have Municipal the right to dire ;he change in location at any time of such pipe lines, water mains, laterals and appliances. It appears that the adjacent property owners will commence improvements along Charleston Boulevard in the near future. Therefore, we presume that yOu will take immediate steps to remove your water lines and include them within the present right of way so that future complications will not arise in this area as a result of improvements being built over the lines required to be removed. Yours very truly, /s/ A. H. Kennedy Acting City Manager AHK/dmn
