Xou will note that if the entire payroll as of January 1, 1941, or the first date upon which a new position was established, had received a 15* increase, the increase would have amounted to #407.25, and the payroll for June, 1943, would have been #3,122.25, whereas the above statement for June, 1943, shows that the compensation earned by supervisors and employees as of that date totaled #3,009.10. The total compensation for June, 1943, is #113.15 short of a 15$ increase for the entire force, and the increases requested in the application now pending before you total only #56 per month. In addition to the foregoing information I cadi your attention to the fact that the position of water checker, for which an increase of #25*per month is asked, was established In July 1, 1942. A rate of #260 per month was authorised.
