At a recessed regular meeting of the Board of City Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, held on April 29th, 1929, at the hour of three o'clock, P. M. PRESENT: His Honor the Mayor, J. F. Hesse, Commissioners W. B. Mundy and O. J. Smith, together with the City Attorney and Clerk. ABSENT: Commissioners W. C. German and Roy Neagle. Meeting called to order by the Mayor. Thereafter, upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting was adjourned to Tuesday, May 2nd, 1929, at the hour of three o'clock, P. M. At a regular meeting of the Board of City Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, held on May 2nd, 1929, at the hour of three o'clock P. M. PRESENT: W. B. Mundy, Mayor Pro tem, Commissioner O. J. Smith, together with the City Attorney and Clerk. ABSENT: His Honor the Mayor, J. F. Hesse and Commissioners W. C. German and Roy Neagle. Meeting called to order by Mayor Pro tem, and immediately recessed until the hour of seven-thirty o'clock, P. M. 7:30 P. M. PRESENT: W. B. Mundy, Mayor Pro tem, Commissioners O. J. Smith and W. C. German, together with the Engineer for the City, City Attorney and Clerk. ABSENT: His Honor the Mayor, J. F. Hesse and Commissioner Roy Neagle. Meeting called to order by Mayor Pro tem. All claims allowed as shown by Claims and Warrants Register on file in the office of the Clerk; reports read and approved. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried it was ordered that monies collected by the City Clerk, Municipal Judge and Plumbing Inspector, for licenses, fines and fees respectively, totaling $4833.00, be apportioned as follows:- To the Police & Fire Fund, $2575.00; to the General Fund, $2375.00; to the Water, Sewer & Light Fund, $83.00. The Clerk presented the application of Rumph & Morgan, (Cactus Club), for a license for the operation of two gaming tables. The fee of One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00) having been paid and such application having been approved by the Police and Fire Commissioners, upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was ordered that the license be issued. The Clerk presented the application of John A. Scott, (Arena Beer Garden), for a license for the operation of two gaming tables.
