Action Item: Discussion/Approval of an amount not to exceed $3,500.00 to be paid to Brian Saliba for talent buying services for Rebel Ruckus. Costs to be encumbered from the CSUN 2702 FY 06 E&P Rebel Ruckus Budget. As submitted by the executive board on behalf of director Holmquist. B. Action Item: Approval of an amount not to exceed $10,000 to be transferred to the UNLV Oral History Research Center for a paid internship of at least (1) CSUN member and for the sponsorship of the Oral History of UNLV project. Cost to be encumbered from the CSUN 2250-237-2713 Interest Bearing account as submitted by Senator Moses. VIII. NEW BUSINESS ACTION A. Action Item: Committing Senate Bill 35-XX, which proposes a new ^ bylaw creating an AFROTC Liaison position, to the Bylaws Committee. \ As submitted by Senator Villa. B. Action Item: Approval of an amount not to exceed $2,150.00 to be transferred to UNLV Campus Recreational Services to send three UNLV student teams to participate in the NIRSA West Regional 7 on 7 Flag Football Tournament at Arizona State University November 18-20, 2005. Costs to be encumbered from the CSUN 2702 FY06 Senate Discretionary budget. As submitted by the Executive Board. (See attachment 35.30.01). C. Action Item: Approval of an amount not to exceed $600.00 to be paid to Derrick Perez for "The Chapter," to perform at Rebel Ruckus. Costs to be encumbered from the CSUN 2702 FY 06 E&P Rebel Ruckus Budget. As submitted by the executive board on behalf of director Holmquist. D. Action Item: Approval of an amount not to exceed $400.00 to be paid to Michael Iserino for performing at Rebel Ruckus. Costs to be encumbered from the CSUN 2702 FY 06 E&P Rebel Ruckus Budget. As submitted by the executive board on behalf of director Holmquist. E. Action Item: Approval of an amount not to exceed $4,000.00 for production for the MTV U Gamers Ball. Costs to be encumbered from the CSUN 2702 FY 06 E&P Rebel Ruckus Budget. As submitted by the executive board on behalf of director Holmquist. F. Action Item: Approval of a contact with MTV U Gamers Ball. As submitted by the executive board. G. Action Item: Approval of a performance agreement for "the Higher" to perform at a "Noonscene" on October 12th. Costs to be encumbered from > the CSUN 2702 FY 06 E&P Rebel Ruckus Budget. As submitted by the executive board on behalf of director Holmquist. H. Action Item: Approval of CSUN to co-sponsor lecture a series with the Women's Center, Women's Studies, and Women's Reserach Institute for Spring 2006 academic year. Funds to be encumbered from senator's individual budget accounts, NSA account, and CSUN Interest barring account. As submitted by Senator Evelyn Flores. I. Action Item: Discussion/Approval of request for $10,000 for testing and assessment of students with learning disabilities for the Disability Resource Center. The funds would be used to purchase testing equipment, and pay for assessments of students. Currently, students are required to pay for private evaluations which can run from $400 -$4000. Approval of this proposal would provide those services at no cost to the student. Cost to be encumbered; $500 from Senator Jimenez individual account and $9,500 CSUN 2250-237-2713 Interest Bearing account. As submitted by Senator Jimenez. See attachment 35.30.02 IX. PUBLIC COMMENT INFORMATION Public comment will be taken during this agenda item. No action may be taken on a matter raised under this item until the matter is included on an agenda as an item on which action may be taken. The Chairman may place reasonable limitations as to the amount of time individuals may address the Senate.
