Ur. 1. E. Bennett: Referring to your File ??-8, February 18th and subsequent correspondence regarding quitclaim deed from Las Vegas Land and Water Company to United States of America covering 0.505 acres of land at Lae Vegas used as recreational facilities. I enclose copy of letter fro* the United States District Court at Carson City with which they transmitted a check for One Dollar payable Jointly to the City of Las Vegas and Las Vegas Land and Water Company in payment for this land per Judgement. Check Is signed by Hon. Frank H. Horoross and the Clerk of Court. I assume this is merely to comply with legal requirement, as the land le no longer oarried in our accounts. Anyway, 1 will waive our right to any portion of the one dollar and transmit same to City if you see no objection. I have not yet acknowledged Mr. Benham* s letter.
