Cahlan__________________________________ Notary Public in and for Clark County Nevada My Commission Expires January 12, 1951______ ORDINANCE NO. 391 CIVIL SERVICE RULES & REGULATIONS AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, COUNTY OF CLARK, STATE OF NEVADA, CREATING AND ESTABLISHING CIVIL SERVICE RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THE FIRE DEPARTMENT OF SAID CITY, DEFINING TERMS; PROVIDING FOR EXAMINATIONS; ESTABLISHING ELIGIBILITY LISTS; PROVIDING FOR APPOINTMENTS; PROMOTIONS; DISCIPLINA­RY ACTION; REPORTS AND RECORDS; CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLANS, AND ALL MATTERS RELATING THERETO. The Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas do ordain as follows: SECTION ONE: That a certain document, three (3) copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk, of the City of Las Vegas, being marked and designated as Civil Service Rules and Regulations, be, and the same are hereby referred to and adopted as the Civil Service Rules and Regulations of the City of Las Vegas, and by said reference and adoption, made a part of this ordinance, the same as if it was fully set forth here­in . SECTION TWO: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, but it is specifically provided that neither this ordinance or any repeal hereby provided shall in any way affect in any way the prosecution for the violation of any ordinance heretofore passed, pending at the time of the adoption of this ordinance. SECTION THREE: This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its passage and adoption as provided by Chapter II, Section 30, of the Charter of the City of Las Vegas. S/_____E. W. Cragin ________________ Mayor SEAL ATTEST: S/ Shirley Ballinger___________ City Clerk The above and foregoing ordinance was first proposed and read by title to the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas on the 7th day of November, 1949 and referred to the following committee composed of com­missioners Moore and Whipple for recommendation; that after the said committee reported favorably on the said ordinance on the 9th day of November, 1949, which was the next special meeting of said Board of City Commission­ers , that the said special meeting on the 9th day of November, 1949, the said proposed ordinance was read aloud in full and adopted as first introduced this 9th day of November, 1949 by the following vote: Voting Aye: Commissioners Bunker, Whipple and His Honor.
