The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to have this Ordinance published in the Las Vegas Age, a weekly newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas, for a period of two weeks, that is to say, once each week. I hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was read for the first time at a recessed regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, held on the 19th day of April, 1935, and was passed as an emergency Ordinance upon the second reading on last mentioned date, on the following vote: Commissioners Arnett, Marble, Down and Honor the Mayor Cragin voting aye. Squires being duly sworn, deposes and says: That he is Managing Editor of the Las Vegas Age, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed and published at Las Vegas, in the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the attached Ordinance #214 was published in said newspaper for a period of two weeks from April 19, 1935 to April 26, 1935 being the issues of said newspaper for the following dates, to wit: April 19 and 26, 1935. hat said newspaper was regularly issued and circulated on each of the dates above named. ( Notarial Seal) ORDINANCE NO. 215 _ An ordinance authorizing the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada to borrow the sum of two hundred fifty thousand dollars (250,000) with which to establish, create or acquire by purchase, or construction, a municipally owned electrical power plant and distribution system, and incidental facilities and to issue and sell the general obligation bonds of the city of Las Vegas to secure the same, and other matters relating thereto. The Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas do ordain: Section 1. A municipally owned and operated power plant and distribution system for the distribution of electrical energy to the inhabitants of the City of Las Vegas is hereby determined and declared to be a public use for the purpose of the City. Section S, That for the purpose of paying the purchase price of the existing power system of the Southern Nevada Power Company, or the cost of the construction of a new municipal power plant and distribution system, which ever may appear to the Board of City Commissioners to be the more economical, under and by virture of the authority vested in the City of Las Vegas, Nevada by Section 4 of Chapter 1 of Chapter 132, Laws of 1911, the same being an act entitled: "An act to incorporate the town of Las Vegas, in Clark County, and defining the boundaries thereof, and to authorize the establishment of a city government there­for, and other matters relating thereto." approved March 16, 1911, as amended by Chapter 36, Laws 1935, being an act entitled: "An Act to amend an act entitled "An Act to amend an act entitled "An act to incorporate the town of Las Vegas, in Clark County, and defining the boundaries thereof, and to authorized the establishment of a city government therefor, and other matters relating thereto," approved March 16, 1911' as amended, by amending section 4 of chapter 1 thereof; Section 10 of chapter 11, as amended, thereof; Section 20 of chapter 11 thereof; section 21 of chapter 11 thereof; section 31 of chapter 11, as amended, thereof; section 53 of chapter 11 thereof; and section 76 of chapter 11 thereof, together with all other acts amendatory thereof and supplemental thereto." approved March 13, 1935, and subsection 5 of Section 31 of Chapter 11 of Chapter 132 of the Laws of 1911, being an act Entitled:
