    Commissioner Whipple moved the cash assessment district for the paving of North 10th Street between Linden and Mesquite Streets be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. City Attorney Howard W. Cannon arrived at the meeting. Discussion was held at this time on the contract with Ralph O. Dixson for the installation of sewer in Schedules B and C of the Sewer Improvement Program, and the impending lawsuit filed by Mr. Dixson against the City. Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved the City Attorney be authorized to contact Mr. Newton E. Anderson, an attorney in Los Angeles who has had experience with bonding companies and ask his advice in this matter; further that Mr. Cannon be authorized to go to Los Angeles, if necessary, to confer with Mr. Anderson, with expenses to be paid by the City. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Sharp moved that Mr. Franklin Bills be hired as Planning Engineer. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. There being no further business to come before this special meeting, the meeting adjourned. CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING March 29, 1954 TO: SHIRLEY BALLINGER, City Clerk Las Vegas, Nevada A special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada is hereby called to be held in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, on the 29th day of March, 1954; at the hour of 4:00 P.M. to consider the following matters: 1. Continuation of Public Hearing on the variance application of Will Max Schwartz Assn. 2. Mr. Dwight Gravett will be present with a proposal for the reinvestment of sewer bond funds. 3. Report of City Attorney on the sewer contract litigation. 4. Recommendation of City Manager on the bids for Gasoline and the Station Wagon. 5. Final Map of Twin Lakes Village, Tract No. 1 6. Recommendations from Civil Service Board on Meritorious increases. 7. Application of Al Rupp and Miles Ledbetter for a license to operate a detective agency. 8. Application of John V.
