McGovern renewal of license for four slot machines at the Monte Carl© Cafe, 1600 South Main for the third quarter of 1953 be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Jarrett, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Bunker and Whipple. It was the decision of the Board to defer action on the liquor applications until July 29, 1953 when a full Board is present. Consideration was given the recent bids submitted for the 9-hole extension t© the Golf Course. Mr. Jim Henderson and several members of the Las Vegas Golf Association were present and discussed the matter with the Board. Thereafter Commissioner Jarrett moved that the bid of $79,500.00 by Longley Construction Co., for the 9-hole extension to the Golf Course be approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign the contract. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Sharp, Jarrett, and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Bunker, and Whipple. Commissioner Jarrett moved the application of Ben R. White dba North Las Vegas Taxi, 1808 North Main for license for one replacement taxi be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Jarrett, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent* Commissioners Bunker add Whipple. Commissioner Sharp moved the application of the Yellow Cab Co., 111 South Main for 7 additional taxis be held for further investigation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Jarrett, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Bunker and Whipple. Commissioner Jarrett moved the following new applications for license for the retail sale of Cigarettes and Tobacco Products be approved:
