Costello-San Fr&nolaco Referring to Mr, Costello’s letter of January 22, file M L 2* f, your- file ?33k*G# concerning request of Tit on Metal products Corporation for a warehouse site at Las Vegas# On January 28, 1952# Mr, Robert M, Levoff, General Manager of the Tlton Corporation, called concerning possible lease or purchase of site. Mr, Levoff advised that his company was considering the development of a maintenance organisation hers to recondition steel drums and containers principally for Stauffer Chemical Company at Henderson, with which Company they had been negotiating, but apparently no formal commitments have been made. When Mr. Levoff ascertained that Stauffer, Western Electro-Chemical, Titanium and Hercules Powder were all located at Henderson, about 15 miles southeast of Las Veg&s, he was of the opinion their reconditioning plant should be located at Henderson and he proposed to see if a site could be obtained within the Basic Plant. Mr, Levoff stated Titon was also agents for and erectors of Stan-Steel prefabricated buildings and is interested in contracting for erection of steel buildings in this area, Steel for such buildings would not be warehoused here but would be shipped as required.
