Frank Strong: In connection with installation of new water mains in the South Fifth Street tract by Ruppert Plumbing company for Frontier Improvement Sompany, our Wo-574? lesterday afternoon, pressure test was oonduoted on this new line, The 8-inoh valve in Oakey Boulevard was closed and a compressor connected to south end of the 2-inch line, dauge was installed at corporation cock $2 ft. south of valve in Oakey Boulevard and the pressure was run up to 190 lbs. Following exceptions were noted: Four leaky Jointsj 9th Joint south of first fire hydrant was defective and will have to be renewed. Transverse fissure 4 inches Joint north of first fire hydrant. back of hub on 9th Longitudinal fissure 12 lnohes long in spigot end of fifth Joint north of fourth fire hydrant. from eight.Ho valve in six inch line where it takes off Ho valve In 2-inoh line where it takes off six.
