Dec. 1, 1903. Dr. Bracken, Los Vegas* Nevada. Dear Sir? ' I have your letter of November 26th in regard to quantities of apples and sweet potatoes you have on hand and which you wish to dispose of. I note that it will cost one cent per pound to freight them to the railroad, and that they would have to he boxed* On looking into this natter•I find that after paying the freight from the ranch to Los Angeles we would not "be able, to get enough out of them to pay these charges, to say nothing of the cost of boxing and handling* I, therefore, think you had better dispose of them out there to the best advantage.
