    348 PAYROLL WARRANTS Commissioner Clark moved that Payroll Warrants Nos. 1001 to 1005 inclusive in the net sum of $27,644.34 be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Moore. PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT Commissioner Clark moved that the City purchase the equipment of the City Iron Works in CITY IRON WORKS the amount of $15,000.00 Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Moore. LOCKSMITH LICENSE Commissioner Clark moved that the application of H. G. Johnson, 112 1/2 North 3rd and J. W. Traylor, 402 South 2nd for renewal of their locksmith licenses be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Moore. DETECTIVE AGENCY Commissioner Clark moved that the application of Glen E. Bodell, 323 Fremont for renewal of his detective agency license be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Moore. At this time Commissioner Moore arrived. PAWNSHOP LICENSES Commissioner Clark moved that the applications of Sally Steel, 11 Fremont, Stanley Robinow, 120 South 1st and George Harris, 119 South 1st for renewal of their pawnshop licenses be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. TAXI APPLICATIONS Commissioner Clark moved that the applications of the Yellow Cab Co. for twelve taxicabs and the Union Cab Co. for one additional taxicab be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. GAMING APPLICATIONS The following new applications for gaming licenses for the first quarter of 1949 were pre- NEW sented to the Board for their consideration: Tom Jaggers Comet Store V. M. Benson The Mirror Wm. Elwell Elwell Hotel O. W. Glenn Western Liquor Store L. P. Lawrence Western Liquor Store Hughie Roach Mike's 5th Street Market Thereafter Commissioner Moore moved that the foregoing applications be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. GAMING APPLICATIONS The following applications for renewal of gaming licenses were presented to the Board for RENEWALS their consideration: Raymond Salmon Payless Liquor Store Grant Stewart First Street Grocery Bingham & Tracht Modern Market L. D. Tunnell Ace Hi Garage J. S. Pappas White Spot Cafe Raymond Salmon Bonanza Liquor Store Raymond Salmon Boulder Liquor Store Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved that the foregoing applications for the first quarter of 1949 be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. GAMING APPLICATIONS The following applications for additional gaming licenses during the first quarter of 1949 ADDITIONAL were presented to the Board for their consideration: Arthur Rosen Eldorado Club Inc. M. H. Gordon Mike's Liquor Store M. B. Page Pioneer Club Thereafter Commissioner Baskin moved that the foregoing applications be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Clark and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. LIQUOR APPLICATION Commissioner Whipple moved that the application of Paul R. Gang, Main Liquor Store for a PAUL R. GANG retail package liquor license for the first quarter of 1949 be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. LIQUOR APPLICATION Commissioner Baskin moved that the application of Anna Barozzi, Roma Cafe, 221 North 1st NEW Street for a retail restaurant beverage license for the first quarter of 1949 be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Clark and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none.
