    62 PROPOSED ORDINANCE An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A PUBLIC POUND; No. 331 PRESCRIBING THE POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE POUND MASTER; FIXING THE FEES Public Pound AND CHARGES TO BE COLLECTED BY HIM, AND DIRECTING THE DISPOSITION THEREOF; PROVIDING FOR THE REGISTRATION OF DOGS AND DOG KENNELS AND FIXING THE FEES THEREFOR; PROVIDING FOR THE VACCINATION OF DOGS AND CATS; PROVIDING FOR THE REDEMPTION, SALE OR OTHER DISPOSITION OF BOGS AND OTHER ANIMALS IMPOUNDED; PROHIBITING CRUELTY TO ANIMALS; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE PROVISIONS THERE­OF; REPEALING ORDINANCES NO. 5, 12, 19, 51, 58, 63 AND 101, AND ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS IN CON­FLICT THEREWITH, AND OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATING THERETO," having heretofore been read to the Board by title was referred to a Committee who held it up for further study and after revision is again read by title and referred to Commissioners Baskin and Clark for report at the next regular meeting. There being no further business to come before the meeting at this time Commissioner Clark moved that this meeting adjourn until May 14, at the hour of 10 A.M. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Corradetti. ATTEST: APPROVED: City Clerk Mayor Las Vegas, Nevada May 14, 1947 At a recessed regular meeting of the Board of City Commissioners held this 14th day of May, 1947. Meeting called to order by His Honor Mayor E. W. Cragin at the hour of 2 P.M. with the following members present: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti; Acting City Manager George Treem; City Clerk, Helen Scott Reed. Absent: City Attorney C. Norman Cornwall. BID-Fence for Police At this time bids for fence at the Police Station and Swimming Pool Station & Swimming were opened from the following firms: Pool Two Police Station Swimming Pools Fence Fence Cyclone Fence Co. $2,886.56 $1,629.12 Las Vegas Building Materials 2,645.00 1,528.17 Thereafter the bids were referred to Mr. Treem as certain substitutions were made by the Las Vegas Building Materials Co. and Commissioner Clark moved that if the substitutions of said materials met the requirements for strength that the bid be awarded to the Las Vegas Building Materials if satisfactory to Mr. Treem. Motion seconded by Commissioner Corradetti and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. BID #47.17 4 Door Sedan At this time bids for three 4-Door Sedans, minimum h.p. 100, were opened. The only bid received was from A. C. Grant, 207 South Main Street in the sum of $4,700.91 less the tax of approximately $249.00, leaving a balance of $4,455.91. Thereafter Commissioner Baskin moved that the bid be rejected. Moyion seconded by Commissioner Clark and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. BIDS— Concrete Work At this time bids for the installation of concrete at the Westside Westside Bathhouse Bathhouse were opened from the following firms: E. M. Kaufield & Son Combination swimming and foot bath curbs 60 lineal ft. $80.00 Regular footing, 132 lineal ft. $200.00 4" concrete slab, 132 lineal ft. $200.00 4" concrete slab, 996 square ft., wire mesh reinforced $386.00
