This claim was not based upon any actual expense incurred .by the consignor, due to the fact that same is dated A p ril 29, 1942, and at that time, they'did not know what it was gp ing to cost them to secure the weight o f the steel that they had on hand at th e ir yard. However, on May 4th, they loaded two cars of th is m aterial, and’ switched them from th eir yard to our scales and return, and for th is they paid us in accordance with our freigh t b i l l s SW 2336 and 2337, copies of which are attached.. enclosing, they w i ll expect, some reply from me, and .1 would appreciate you giving th is matter your further consideration, and advise what I may say to them.
