Mg Lear Sir: you would kindly advise no the proper form . i-.. *.-u iM* stssi n oramissione rs and the I wi sh of notice to serve Both on the City American Light & Aster Co., who are instal •s our City so nor. Since the commencement of this work we have "been getting along very nicely with the sewer contractors, and 1 Sis on the wort almost continually to see that no damage was done to the water mains, and we are, as per agreement between the the City Commissioners and myself, looking after the removing and replacing of water tans, charging the sewer contractors for such work and materials as are *used. i have had a personal talk with the City Commissioners and sewer contractoro about the following: fhoir sewer ditch is in most instances right against our water mains, and after the sewer pipe is laid the ditches are being back filled with loose dirt, without any water or tamped, fend in a number of Instances our water mains have sagged over, and in such oases is pulled out from the water taps, vhich is only the beginning of'.what it ? will mean for us, I believe, a grant amount of trouble, and we should, in ray opinion advise both the Board of City Commissioners and the Sewer Contractors that they will be held responsible, for all damages and.costs of renairing leaks which- occur from the above, fhoy are now charged with what repairs we have made, due to the above cause, tut it will only be a few weeks until the sewer is completed and the contractors will have finished and be out of the, country, and our troubles are only commencing. I think, therefore, that we should not wait until the trouble is upon us before advising them concerning the matter. I do not wish to take the responsibility of sending the City Commissioners a notice of this kind, but believe should be done as early as possible. "ill you let me hear from you concerning this subject, at your-earliest convenience? Yours truly, cc-iir. J.Hoss 1 lark, ca-hir.n. I.
