Yang April 8, 1971 Mr. Carl Cohen The Sands Hotel Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Carl: Your generous offer of $35,000 in support of the Sportsmen's Club Victor Awards presentations at the Sands Hotel the weekend of June 26, 1971 is both appreciated and accepted. We are currently exhausting every possibility to insure that our program is televised as in past years in order to provide the maximum exposure both for the City of ^ Hope and the Sands Hotel. It is my understanding, ba^ed upon our conversation, that an additional $7,OOQ^-dTlo- cation will be forthcoming from the Sands in. the event television is a reality. We shall endeavor to maintain an awareness of expenditures in order to insure that expenses are kept at a minimum. In the weeks to come and as factors materialize, we shall maintain a very close and continuing flow of communications with A1 Freeman. I do want to take this opportunity on behalf of my fellow officers and members of our organization to express heart- felt thanks to A1 Benedict, A1 Freeman and yourself for providing our fundraising with the perfect backdrop to generate maximum support for the City of Hope National Medical Center. J Sincerely, Irv Terry IT: me U~ PRODUCED BY THE SPORTSMEN'S CLUB FOR THE CITY OF HOPE NATIONALLY TELEVISED
