I agree.'Tom Jones" is the first Equity show to ever appear in a hotel lounge. The vehicle is a faithful take off on Henry Fielding's famous novel and was written for the Desert Inn by Don McPherson, who also directs the performers. Noted composer Paul Holden wrote the words and music for the nine original songs and the musicians are led by famed trumpeter and conductor Dr. Henry Levine. All the costumes and scenery are exact reproductions of that era and were designed by Henry Crossen. This is the one show you won't want to miss on your next visit to the Desert Inn. And if the SRO conditions that currently prevail in the lounge continue, "Tom Jones" will be with us for quite some time.
