Ill m a s l j j 0 Opinions Vary On Wheihe Night Watering Will Work Conflicting views as to wheth er night lawn watering would be harm ful were expressed this week by local authorities when queried if the new city ordinance that prohibits day-time watering of lawns would prove harm ful ot local grass growers. A ll lawn experts agreed, that the best times for watering the home crops is early in-the m orning and’late in the evening, but, the question concerning night sprinkling was controversial, Robert Schmutzer of the G a rden Center said that night watering would not be a hazard to the upkeep of local lawns. Quite the contrary Schmutzer said that late evening lawn watering would prove advantageous to local lawn aprinklers. Theodore, A . K im m e l said that in preference to watering' late at night he would recommend watering of lawns in the heat of the day.
